2nd Annual Holiday Market, 5K Run/Walk and Launch of MaDee's Book. Museum of American Frontier Culture Museum 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 22, 2011, benefiting pediatric cancer patients in our area and throughout Virginia.

The event is family friendly and will feature a chili pepper preview party, by invitation only, on Friday Oct. 21 for ticket holders to preview merchandise at the market on Saturday. MaDee's book, Dancing in the Rain - a vibrant young womans fight with cancer will be debuted and sold for the first time on this evening.

The book will also be available at the holiday market. Saturday morning, the 5K will begin with the releasing of 24 balloons in memory of MaDee Boxler's 24th birthday and in memory of other children who lost their battle with cancer. After the 5K, the 2nd annual holiday market will begin at 9 a.m. 21 vendors will offer their merchandise to the public with a percentage of sales going to pediatric cancer.
