The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank is teaming up with local corporate partners to host a series of community food drives through the end of the month of September.

The following food drives will be open to the public during normal business hours.

  • Local businesses partner with food bank to help feed the needy: Building Hunger-Free Neighborhoods: A Food Drive is under way to support the Blue Ridge Area Food Bank Network. Nonperishable food items can be taken to Rutherford Real Estate & Rent PPM at 2748 Stuarts Draft Highway (337-9272) and Creative Wonders Learning Center at 2746 Stuarts Draft Highway in Stuarts Draft (337-9174) and to Vista Links Golf Course at 100 Vista Links Drive in Buena Vista (261-4653.) The food bank network has seen the demand for food increase dramatically in recent months, and more food and monetary donations are needed to meet the demand. More than 13,000 individuals living in Staunton, Waynesboro, Buena Vista and Lexington and Augusta and Rockbridge counties are living in poverty.
